Guide
Play-in, double elimination and one-night tournaments
Choose the season bracket
Open Front Office → League settings → Playoff format. Choose the format, bracket size, field and series lengths, then Save changes. Preview it from Schedule → Playoffs before publishing. Seeds come from the standings and freeze when published. Full re-seeding between rounds is not supported.
Single elimination: one series loss ends a team's run. Byes go to the highest seeds when needed.
Play-in: the field needs more teams than the bracket. An 8-team bracket with 4 play-in teams needs 10 teams in the field. Seed 7 plays seed 8; the winner takes bracket seed 7. The loser plays the winner of 9 versus 10 for bracket seed 8. With 2 play-in teams, one game decides the last bracket seed. Play-in games are one game each.
Double elimination: choose a full field of 4, 8 or 16 teams, with no byes. A first loss sends a team to the losers bracket. The two bracket winners meet in the grand final. If the losers-bracket team wins that final, a reset final decides the champion. Earlier losers rounds use your earlier-round series length; the last losers round and grand final use your final length.
Every series card shows the teams, seeds, wins, status and game links. A game page's series switcher opens the other games in that series. Placements appear only after the championship is decided.
Run a one-night tournament
Open Front Office → Games → One-night tournament during an activated live season. Choose a name, 2–16 active teams and one game or best of 3. Choose Create tournament setup, Preview seeded bracket, then Publish tournament · start tonight. The tournament is single elimination, seeded from the standings; the highest seeds get byes. All games use tonight's league-local date.
This is a separate event inside the league, not a new season or purchase. It uses the league's existing coverage and daily reading allowance. Its games do not count toward season standings, leaders or season placements. Its champion is the tournament champion, not the season champion.
Share Open tournament page after publication. Open any game to post or review its result. The next matchup opens when its opponents are decided. To cancel, open Cancel this tournament, enter a reason and confirm. Settle any open submission, dispute or forfeit claim first. Played results stay in the record; unplayed games are cancelled.
