End the season and start the next

A season ends when its champion is decided. Then the commissioner starts the next one, with the same teams, rosters and rules if you want them.

A season with playoffs

It ends on its own when the final series is decided, and the winner is the champion. See Run your playoffs.

A season without playoffs

When Playoffs are off in League settings, the commissioner ends the season. Open Front Office → More and choose End the season. It shows the regular-season champion from the final standings, tiebreaks included, and the top four.

Before you can end it, the season must have gone live, every game waiting on a result or a ruling must be settled, and every score under review decided. Games nobody played are cancelled when the season ends, so the page asks Why are these games being cancelled? first.

What ending a season does

• The champion is recorded. The season's games, standings and stats stay as they are.
• Without playoffs, games nobody played are cancelled.
• The season's reminders and deadlines stop.

Start the next season

Only the commissioner starts a season. Open Front Office → More and choose the next season's row, such as Start Season 2. Choose what carries over:

• Same teams: last season's active teams, with their names, colors and logos.
• Same rosters: each team keeps its active players. It needs Same teams. A Franchise league carries its players forward in Contracts & cap instead.
• Same rules: last season's rules. Leave it off to start from the standard rules again.

Last season's rosters stay as they were in its history. If a player is on more than one team, start with teams only and set the new rosters yourself.

The new season starts private, in setup. Its teams start without captains, so send each captain a fresh claim link from Teams & players. Go live again when you're ready.
