Try a practice draft

You can use the real draft room before draft night. Nothing in a practice draft counts: no rosters, results or stats change. There are two ways to try it.

Try it without a league

Open Try a draft and tap Start the re-draft. You pick for the Stingers, SCSL's Season 1 champions, against the other seven real Season 1 teams. There are 65 players from the public SCSL archive with their real Season 1 stats, 3 snake rounds and a 30-second clock. It's the same draft room your league uses, so you can build a pick list, make a pick and watch the clock. If your clock runs out, OVRWire picks for you.

You don't need to sign in. Your re-draft disappears after 2 hours, and nobody gets signed. There's a daily limit on practice runs; if you reach it, come back tomorrow. When you finish, you see your draft class and can try another.

Practice with your own league

This part is for commissioners. In Draft setup, choose Run a free practice draft, then Start a free practice draft. It uses your league's draft settings and the players who have signed up, for up to 2 rounds.

• Turn on Fast practice · 10-second picks to move quickly.
• If you don't have enough players yet, Fill the rest with sample players adds clearly labelled samples that exist only inside the practice.
• Share the Members-only practice draft link with your captains. Each captain taps Join team, then you tap Begin practice draft. A team nobody joins auto-picks.
• When it's done, you can view the result card, Run it again or delete the practice. Use these settings for Draft night copies its settings to your real draft; draft night keeps its own number of rounds.

A practice draft expires after 7 days. Run a draft covers the rest of draft night, and Draft night for captains shows what captains do in the room.
