Privacy and your data

OVRWire keeps your privacy choices in one place and lets you download what it holds about you. This guide only shows where the controls are. For what OVRWire collects and why, read the Privacy Policy.

Your account

Open your account menu, choose Account, then look under Privacy and data. Your changes save as soon as you tap them.

• Show me in player search: turn it off to leave OVRWire-wide search and your career page. Each league's own pages still show your stats.
• Hide my name publicly: public pages, cards and recaps show "Hidden player" with your team and position instead of your gamertag. Signed-in league members still see your name, and your stats and team totals don't change.
• Download my data: a JSON file with your account and profile, your gamertag and career page, your leagues, your requests and your payment records. Nothing else is in it.
• Delete my account: sends a request to a person at OVRWire, who runs the deletion. The button itself deletes nothing.
• Send a private request: for your data, your account, a charge or an appeal. It's never posted publicly. You can also send a private request directly.

If you run a league, hand it to someone else before you ask to delete your account: see Pass the commissioner job. If it went live and nobody will take it over, say so in the request.

Your league's data

The commissioner can download a spreadsheet copy of the league's results, box scores, rosters and standings from Front Office → More → Download league data. You can start up to 3 downloads a day. Each link works for 24 hours, and the file is deleted within two days. Only the commissioner sees this page.

On Draft TV and in Discord

Draft TV and the draft posts in Discord are public, so a player who hides their name shows as "Hidden player" there too.
