Troubleshooting

Start with the problem you're seeing. If none of these fixes it, use Contact us at the end of this page.

I can't sign in

OVRWire signs you in with Discord, and only Discord. Tap Sign in with Discord and approve it.

• Sign-in cancelled. You tapped Cancel on Discord's screen. Tap Sign in with Discord again and approve it this time.
• Discord didn't respond. Try again. Discord or your connection stumbled. Try once more.
• If Discord keeps asking for a password: Discord's built-in browser sometimes asks you to log in again. On the sign-in page, open Discord asking for a password?, copy the link and open it in Safari or Chrome.

I'm signed in as the wrong Discord account

OVRWire knows you by your Discord account, not by your email. If you sign in with a different Discord account than the one you use in your league, OVRWire sees someone new. A private league can say "This league is private", you may not see your team, and the bot may say it doesn't know you.

To switch accounts:

1. Open your account menu and choose Use a different Discord account.
2. On the sign-in page, tap Sign in with Discord.
3. On Discord's screen, choose Not you?, then sign in with the account you use in your league.

On a private league's page you can also tap Use a different Discord account, next to "Signed in as" your name.

If you already played games on the wrong account, don't claim another player profile. Ask your league staff first. Join a league explains how links and profiles work.

A link doesn't work

League and team links can expire or run out of uses. Ask the person who sent it for a fresh one. A captain link claims one team and works once, so check you're opening the right one.

The bot isn't posting

A league that isn't live yet keeps finals and standings out of Discord. OVRWire posts them, and pings captains, once the league goes live with its Discord server connected. Box-score replies already work while the league is private.

The bot reads and replies only in your league's box-score channel and the game threads it starts. If it says it doesn't know you, or that you're not on a team, join your team with its player link (your captain has it) and post again.

If the bot stays quiet where it should post, ask your commissioner to open Front Office → Discord. It shows what's connected and what needs attention, and Fix the Discord connection walks through each fix.

The draft room or Draft TV stopped updating

A page in a background tab stops checking for new picks until you switch back to it. Keep the page in front. Draft TV has tips for a TV or a stream, and Draft night for captains covers the room.

Something else

Contact us and say what you tapped and what you saw. If it's about your data, your account or a charge, choose Private request. It's never posted publicly.
