Guide
When OVRWire can't read a screenshot
OVRWire reads the box-score screenshot you post, checks that the numbers add up and asks you to check them. Sometimes it can't read one. Your game isn't stuck when that happens: you can post a clearer screenshot or type the numbers in yourself.
Reading or typing it in
Reading is the usual way. You post a screenshot and OVRWire fills in the numbers. Two different readers look at each screenshot: one reads the whole box score, and a second checks the totals and the score. A clean read still needs a person: you tap Looks right, and the other team can ask for a review.
Type it in is the other way. It opens the form on the game page, where you enter both teams' numbers yourself. If your league requires a screenshot, attach it before you send. Typed numbers go to the other team to confirm, or to the commissioner for review, before the game counts.
On the website, the choice is Type it in instead. In Discord, the reply has a Type it in button whenever OVRWire can't read your screenshot or has to wait.
What the messages mean
OVRWire couldn't read this screenshot. Type it in, or post a sharper one. The screenshot was too hard to read. Post a clearer one that shows the whole GAME STATS screen, with both TOTAL rows and the scoreboard, or type the numbers in. A console screenshot reads better than a photo of a screen.
Almost done: check 2 highlighted items, or Needs a fix. OVRWire read the screenshot, but something doesn't add up. The message says what: some numbers don't add up, two reads disagree on a number, a name may be on the wrong line, or the quarter scores need a look. Tap the button to review the numbers, fix them and send.
Got it. The other team already posted this game. Someone from the other team posted this game first. Open the game and check the numbers they entered. If you can confirm for your team, there's a Check and confirm button. If you can't, your captain confirms.
This season has used its automatic reads. Each season has a limit on automatic reads, and this one is used. Type the numbers in. The other team still confirms them.
The waiting message
OVRWire's automatic reading runs on a free daily allowance. When a busy day uses it up, you see Today's free reading is used up. Your screenshot is saved, and OVRWire reads it after the daily reset, around the time the message shows in your league's time zone. Nothing else is needed from you, and you don't have to post the screenshot again. If you'd rather not wait, type the numbers in.
A message like Screenshot saved. OVRWire is reading it, usually within a few hours means the same thing: the screenshot is waiting, and there's nothing else to do.
The 48-hour limit
If a screenshot is still waiting 48 hours after it was posted, OVRWire stops waiting and tells you it couldn't read it in time. Type the numbers in then. If the reset would land after those 48 hours, OVRWire says so right away instead of making you wait.
Before your league is live
With pre-made rosters, your first 3 games count in private and are read for free. After that, OVRWire saves your screenshots and reads them once the league goes live: Saved. This season's 3 free games are used, so this one counts once the league goes live.
Screenshot rules in Discord
OVRWire opens a PNG, JPG or WebP image under 20 MB. If it says an image is too small, use the full-size screenshot. If it can't open an image, save it again as a PNG, JPG or WebP and post it again. You can attach up to 4 screenshots for one game, and they have to be the screenshots themselves, not links. One person can post up to 5 box scores every 10 minutes.
After a game is final
If a number is wrong once the game is final, see Reviews and corrections.

Common questions
What if OVRWire can't read my screenshot?
Your game isn't stuck. Post a sharper screenshot of the whole GAME STATS screen, or type the numbers in. Typed or edited numbers need the other team or the commissioner before the game counts.
What does "Today's free reading is used up" mean?
OVRWire's automatic reading runs on a free daily allowance, and that day's is gone. Your screenshot is saved and OVRWire reads it after the daily reset, around the time the message shows in your league's time zone. You don't have to post it again, or you can type the numbers in now. If a screenshot is still waiting 48 hours after it was posted, OVRWire stops waiting and asks you to type the numbers in.
