Contracts and your terms

Franchise leagues use virtual contracts to track your team, contract length and cap value. The cap value is not real money or a payment.

Accept your terms

Claim your player and sign in. On the league page, read Your contract terms, check the acceptance box and choose Accept contract terms. The wording says whether it covers the available players list or your starting roster and the longest contract you accept. A longer limit applies only if you accept it. On the available list, you can leave before a team signs or drafts you.

What a contract means

A contract records its team, tier, virtual value and seasons. The league and your accepted limit restrict its length: the platform allows up to 5 seasons. Trades can move an existing contract between teams; waivers can move a released contract too. Your team can show your contract in My team → Contracts & cap; league members can open Cap sheet.

Extensions

If your team offers an extension, the league page shows Your extension offers with the exact terms. Read them and choose Accept extension or Decline. Accepting your general contract terms does not accept an extension for you. The offer can still need review or fail a league rule.

Re-signing

After your contract expires, your former team may have a limited re-sign window. If it makes an offer, the league page shows Your re-sign offers with the team, tier, virtual value and seasons. To accept, read the offer, check I accept this exact re-sign offer., then choose Accept re-sign offer. To say no, choose Decline re-sign offer. Your earlier contract terms do not accept this offer for you.

The result can say Re-sign offer accepted. or Re-sign offer declined. If it says Your response was recorded. The re-sign offer is waiting for review., the offer has not completed yet. If it cannot be completed, the page says so; ask your GM about a new offer.

After a decline or lapse, Join the free-agent pool? can appear. You are not added automatically: ask the commissioner for the league link, choose whether to join the available players list and accept fresh terms.
