Guide
Post a box score
If your league's Discord server is connected to OVRWire, post it there. Sign in to OVRWire with Discord and join your team once, with the player link your captain has, so OVRWire knows which team you're on. Then post the final box-score screenshot in #box-scores, or in the game's thread. Console screenshots read best: the GAME STATS screen, with both TOTAL rows and the scoreboard in view.
What happens next
- OVRWire reads it. It reacts 👀 and replies that it's checking. It reads the whole box score and checks the math: each player's points match their shots, makes never beat attempts, the players add up to the TOTAL row, and the quarters add up to the final.
- You check it. When the read is clean, tap Looks right to say you checked the score. In the regular season that makes it final. If something needs a look, the reply says what, with a button to check or fix it. If OVRWire can't read the screenshot, post a sharper one or type the numbers in. When OVRWire can't read a screenshot explains each message.
- It's final. OVRWire swaps 👀 for ✅ and posts the final. The game counts in the standings and stats.
- The other team can ask for a review. Their captain, GM or assistant GM can ask the commissioner to check the score until the time shown on the game. The score counts while it's checked. Typed numbers wait for the other team to confirm them instead.
Before you post
- You need to be on one of the two teams in the game. A commissioner can post for any game.
- Show the whole GAME STATS screen. Use a console screenshot, not a photo of your screen.
- Use a PNG, JPG or WebP under 20 MB. You can attach up to 4 screenshots for one game, for example the other table or the scoreboard.
- Attach the screenshot itself, not a link to it.
- One person can post up to 5 box scores every 10 minutes.
If your team has more than one game without a box score, OVRWire asks Which game is this box score from? Pick the right one. If it says there's no game for your team that needs a box score, ask your commissioner to add the game in the Front Office, then post it again.
Other ways to post
- Type /submit in your league's server and attach the screenshot. Leave game empty if you're not sure which game it is.
- If a teammate already posted the screenshot in the server, press and hold their message (right-click on a computer), open Apps and choose Send to OVRWire.
What the replies mean
- Got it … Checking… OVRWire has the screenshot and is reading it.
- Read it. Check it with Looks right and you're done. The read came out clean. Tap Looks right if the numbers match your game.
- Almost done: check 2 highlighted items, or Needs a fix: something didn't add up. Tap the button to review the numbers.
- Type it in, or a note that today's free reading is used up: OVRWire couldn't read the screenshot yet, and When OVRWire can't read a screenshot explains what to do.
On the website
Open the game from your league's schedule or scores and choose Post box score when the action is available to you. You need to be signed in as an eligible team member or staff member.
If your league requires a screenshot, attach it before sending. Otherwise, attach a screenshot if you have one. Enter both teams' numbers in the form and check them against the screenshot. If your league allows score-only results, that option appears in the form; otherwise, enter the player box score.
OVRWire checks the entered totals before sending the result to the other team. Fix anything it flags, then confirm you checked the numbers before posting.
If something needs fixing
Return to the game while your submission is editable and choose Fix or edit result. The game page shows the current review state.

Common questions
Can AI read NBA 2K box score screenshots?
On OVRWire, two different AI models read each screenshot: one reads the whole box score, and a second one checks the totals and the score. The reader can make mistakes: it fills in the numbers, and people confirm them. Console screenshots read best: the GAME STATS screen, with both TOTAL rows and the scoreboard in view.
